I wrote this song immediately after a service where the preacher insisted on manufacturing the "presence of GOD". That bothered me a lot cuz it was like, this dude kept dragging out his sermon because the youth weren't responding. Then at the end he drags a girl up to the front and prays over her with his hypno prayer until she starts convulsing. Only then did he feel satisfies as if God "moved" and we could finally go home.
Well, this song deals with the behavior of the Charismatic/Pentecostal church and their huge lack of biblical foundation. I speak from experience. I spent 6 years learning under Assemblies of GOD and their system failed me hard. A foundation built on emotionalism is no foundation at all. Determining your "salvation" by how "righteous" you feel is not biblical. But I digress. Pretty much the song is just about how we need the word of GOD.
